Amitabh Bachchan Has Preserved Most Of His Films

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has successfully conserved the prints of the majority of his movies, a specialist said on Thursday.
Founder and also Director of Movie Heritage Foundation Shivendra Singh Dungarpur stated Bachchan asked the producers to give him the prints of his movies.
"When we approached Bachchan, we located it interesting to keep in mind that he made use of to ask the film producers to provide him a copy of a subtitled print and one more print. Because process he kept a lot of his movies," Dungarpur claimed at the 24th Conservation and also Repair Workshop's opening at KIFF.
He stated movie reconstruction is the need of the hour. There has to be awareness concerning it, as there was a demand for skilled archivists.
"I am truly grateful with such concerted initiatives for recovering great works of Bengali movie theater. We are commemorating the centenary of Bengali movie theater. So saving our job is of utmost relevance," said KIFF chairman and leading Bengali star Prasenjit Chatterjee.
Bachchan is the brand name ambassador of the initiative. He shared a video message wishing it terrific success.
"West Bengal created several of the greatest filmmakers of Indian cinema such as Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Ritwick Ghatak and so forth. I would thank the government for supporting the effort, so the future generations would be able to see these jobs," Bachchan stated.
At least 100 Bengali standards have been identified for reconstruction.
