Fans have taken to Twitter to after the release of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's new film, Kalank, a period outfit dramatization which was released on Wednesday. The film has an abysmal 2.6/ 10 ranking on IMDb, based on close to 2000 ballots. The on-line response remains in conflict with the movie's ticket office. Kalank registered the largest opening of 2019, making Rs 21.6 crore.
 
Fans uploaded numerous memes online, both from the film and from various other pop-culture residential or commercial properties such as Sacred Games and also Game of Thrones.
