Mastizaade: Sunny Leone, Riteish, Team Celebrate As Censor Board Clears Film For Release
Director Milap Zaveri can now heave a sigh of relief as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has finally granted the censor certificate to his film Mastizaade. The film that stars Riteish Deshmukh, Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das, was supposed to release on May 1, 2015, but the board had stalled the film due to high sexual content in it.

Riteish took to Twitter to congratulate the team for the long-awaited certificate:

According to reports, the sex-comedy that was awaiting certification from the board for its bold content, was sent to the Revising Committee to help acquire clearance from the board. The makers of the film also decided to approach the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal, according to IANS.

After the phenomenal success of Grand Masti (which Milap Zaveri had co-written), Zaveri had begun shooting Mastizaade in 2014. The teaser for the film, released in May this year, garnered more than two lakh hits on YouTube within a few days of its release, but it was taken off the online video site when censor issues came up. In the teaser, actor Sunny Leone, who is playing a double role in the film ( Laila and Lily Lele) is seen dancing in a seductive way in skimpy clothes. She is currently shooting for action film Tina and Lolo along with Karishma Tanna. The film is being helmed by Devang Dholakia.
