Stop Body Shaming, Everyone Is Special: Vidya Balan
Actress Vidya Balan has addressed the problem of body shaming by means of a video clip, and called out people for passing disparaging remarks on others' body type.
" Kabhi tu moti kehta hai, kabhi tu choti kehta hai ..." Vidya says in a video clip, with a certain confidence and also weight in her voice.
She highlights the prejudiced comments and also jokes made at people concerning their appearances.
" Dont make jokes on someone's size, colour. Everyone is various ... that's why everyone is special," Vidya said in the video clip, which is part of an effort for her radio show "Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho" which broadcasts on Big 92.7 FM.
Vidya had submitted the video clip on Instagram a couple of days earlier. Dressed in a black sari and also ruined makeup, Vidya even broke down while speaking about the issue.
She captioned it: "Most of us are potential victims of 'body shaming' - the prevalent phenomenon of getting cruel feedback when our bodies don't satisfy the unrealistic charm criteria of our time. Right here's my handle body shaming."
This is not the first time that "The Dirty picture" actress opened up about body shaming.
Earlier, she had claimed: "In my early days, also prior to I entered the movie market, people said various discouraging things about me, they called me 'moti' as well as I dealt with body shaming. It truly influences our confidence. Physical conditioning should not be attaining an unrealistic goal to look in a certain way and also thinking that is beautiful."
On the work front, Vidya will next off be seen in "Mission Mangal" together with Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu.
